Why Our People Need
The Medical Evangelist

I HAVE been an enthusiastic supporter of " The Medical Evangelist" since
its birth, and ever since its re- birth I have felt a deepening conviction re
garding its important mission as a ringing sentinel of truth, calling for a
genuine reform among our own people legarding our medical missionary faith
once delivered to the saints. I believe the field of this magazine is unique, its
scope denomination- wide, and that it should in no way antagonize or encroach
upon the field occupied by our good journal, " Life and Health."
To my mind it is highly desirable to have a special organ in which the
advanced principles of the health reform message may be carefully presented
to our own people. The strongest appeals for reform in the life habits and
practices of our people as a necessary preparation for the loud cry of the mes
sage and for translation must be made by emphasizing the light which has
come through the Spirit of Prophecy. This it does not seem fitting or possible
to do in a magazine intended for general distribution.
