The Howard Everett McClure Papers

Howard Everett McClure was born on July 25, 1907 in Mobile, Alabama. He served the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 50 years, working in the Kentucky, Tennessee, Southeastern California, and Wisconsin conferences, The Canadian Union, and the South American and Far Eastern Divisions. McClure passed away on March 24, 1993 in Loma Linda, California.

The small collection of documents, correspondence and forms, related to McClure's time in the Far Eastern Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, particularly in his role as Home Missionary Secretary and the Hope For Today filmstrips, nos. 1-10 that were being produced by the Division. McClure handled the orders from the various Unions and Missions for the filmstrip sets. The script was translated into the various languages spoken in the Division.
