The Merced Seventh-day Adventist Church Archive
The Merced Seventh-day Adventist Church was organized on November 2, 1907, with charter members including E. J. and Elizabeth L. Olds. Some months prior to the church organizing, in May 1907, the California-Nevada Conferences of the Seventh-day Adventist Church held their camp-meeting in Merced. Ellen G. White spoke at this camp-meeting, and writing about it later states that at the time there were only two Sabbath-keeping families in Merced. The camp-meeting obviously had a positive effect with the church being formerly organized only a short time later.
This collection consists of the early church records - quarterly reports, membership records, and the like - from 1907 to 1986. To date, we only have the membership transfer records available digitally.
