The photograph album is almost a promotional piece about the Paradise Valley Sanitarium. The majority of the photographs were obviously taken by a professional photographer and were either made available to Dr. Alton D. Butterfield, or the album was assembled and presented to him. The images provide a wonderful glimpse into the history of the Sanitarium during the late 1920s and early 1930s. The album measures 11 1/4 x 15 1/4 inches.
