The Robert LeRoy and Belva Smith Bridgman Collection

Robert LeRoy Bridgman was born on November 11, 1899 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from the Paradise Valley Sanitarium and Hospital Training School for Missionary Nurses on September 6, 1925. He also either attended, or worked at, the Iowa Sanitarium, Nevada, Iowa. Robert also worked at the Salem (Ore.) General Hospital. The photograph album reflects Robert Bridgman's time at the Iowa Sanitarium and at the Paradise Valley Sanitarium and Hospital Training School for Missionary Nurses.

Belva Emma (Smith) Bridgman was born on November 16, 1893 in Iowa. She attended public school in Massena Iowa, was in the 8th grade during the 1910-1911 academic year, and worked as a colporteur in 1919. Items related to Belva's colporteur work is present.

This small collection, spanning the years 1910 to 1980 and containing some 60 items, consists of personal documents, photographs and more.
