The Walter C. Foreman Correspondence

Walter Cyril Foreman was born on November 9, 1870, in Sheridan, Illinois to George and Emily Nettlingham Foreman. His parents joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church when he was two months old as a result of efforts held at Northville, Illinois by Elders T. M. Steward and R. F. Andrews. Walter served as secretary of the Northern Illinois Conference from 1893 to 1898, and then attended Battle Creek College from 1898 to 1900. He was united in marriage with Helen Rothwell. Walter served as manager of the Tri-City Sanitarium, Moline, Illinois, from 1903 to 1915, and manager of the Iowa Sanitarium, Nevada, Iowa, from 1915 to 1922. Walter passed away on December 23, 1959, in Loma Linda, California.

This collection of 129 letters between Walter C. Foreman and various individuals, primarily in the Northern Illinois Conference Office, date from 1912 to 1915. During the years, Foreman served as manager of the Tri-City Sanitarium. Foreman also served in an official capacity in his church, and some of the letters pertain to tithe and other church business. Also included in the collection are six documents - reports of committee meetings and the like.
