Loma Linda first hospital

C. 2, 3, 4. Loma Linda Hospital, later called West Hall. This building was used as a hospital from 1913 until 1924 when a new hospital was built on the hill. It housed classrooms in the east part, boys dormitory in the back west part, cafeteria and dietetics laboratory in the basement. The College Church met in the classrooms from 1928 until CME built Burden Hall in 1934.. West hall was demolished in 1942 when CME built Daniells Hall the new men's dormitory. Aeriel view of the Loma Linda Sanitarium and Hospital. View from the northwest after the institution added the east wing (far left) in 1949. It eventually became a 186-bed community hospital. This facility was closed as a hospital on July 9, 1967 when patients were moved to the new Loma Linda Univesity Hospital.
